After much research we came to the conclusion that Krangket Island Lodge was the only place on Krangket Island we could use, short of taking tents, generators and cooking facilities. Krangket Island Lodge offered accommodation with 24 hour electricity. Cooking facilities were available but we would have to provide and cook our food. The lodge turned out, as we had suspected, to be very run-down. We decided to rent a room in Madang and travel by banana boat each afternoon to the lodge.
